Welcome to my blog.  Although my website has been set up primarily as an art gallery, I couldn't resist making space to share my thoughts about my expertise. And no, it's not art. It's exercise, sports performance, healthy living, exercise psychology, and exercise philosophy. Today, it seems like everyone, even the unfit, is a self-proclaimed exercise expert. They've read something on the internet, had a friend who did bodybuilding, or tried the Keto or Paleo diet. But I'm going to put my neck out and claim to be the number one expert on the planet, probably the universe. Don't believe me? Click here.

I'm making this bold and semi-tongue-in-cheek statement not just because I've worked as a gym instructor and personal trainer for many years or because I have qualifications in exercise, psychology, and teaching. It's was mostly the lifetime of practical application in diverse sporting projects that has provided me with clear insight into what really works, what doesn't, and who succeeds and who doesn't.

You'll find me cynical about gyms but passionate about exercise. Cynical about sports science but passionate about methodical and measurable exercise plans. I'll be very cynical and dismissive of all the misleading products and potions out there, and I might sound a bit un-PC and sarcastic at times... sorry.

I will discuss sports performance, psychology, exercise, weight training, philosophy, nutrition, life balance, motivation, goal setting, and more.  I'll be sharing anecdotes from my life as an athlete and fitness instructor and hopefully providing some useful, and at times amusing insights. I hope my words might help you adopt a practical approach to health and fitness. This blog also serves as content for a second book. My rants are free, but if you'd like, you can certainly buy a piece of work from my gallery. Enjoy!
